Following Amazon’s leak from late last week, Major Nelson has taken to his blog to reveal the Xbox One with a (quite mandatory) 1TB hard drive. The console features a new matte finish, and twice as much internal storage as the standard console SKU. Additionally, the new console will ship with Halo: The Master Chief Collection, in select regions.
The console will also ship with the New Xbox One controller, which features a 3.5mm stereo jack, new updated bumpers and the ability to receive wireless firmware updates, which eliminates having to connect the controller via USB cable to receive updates.
Xbox One 1TB consoles will start shipping to retailers on June 16 (E3 Day) in the United States, and select markets later this month and will be available starting at $399 USD ERP. Also, starting today, the $349 USD price on all standard Xbox One 500GB consoles will be permanent in the United States and select regions.
