In addition to the confirmation of Mirror’s Edge 2‘s release window during EA’s financial earnings presentation yesterday, CFO Blake Jorgensen announced that fans shouldn’t expect to see a Titanfall sequel until some time during the company’s 2017 fiscal year.
“You should assume [Titanfall 2] is not in fiscal ’16; it’s more likely in fiscal ’17.”
EA’s 2017 fiscal year runs from April 1, 2016 through March 31, 2017. Speculation as to whether or not Titanfall‘s sequel will be EA’s big holiday title for winter 2017 are already starting to float around, but I’d wait a while before making jumping to that conclusion since almost nothing concrete is known about the game. I mean, it doesn’t even have an official name yet.
