Microsoft has revealed that a new Xbox One controller, previously rumored as the “Hardcore Controller”, will be released in June, and it will feature a standard headphone port on the base.

The controller, presumably set to be officially announced at E3, has been revealed early thanks to an update on the Xbox Support website. The description of the gamepad states that it will include a 3.5mm headphone port on the base, that is “only available on controllers released after June 2015.”

The extent of the other features that the controller may or may not include has yet to be revealed. One of the biggest fan-demanded features is that the controller will be able to charge via Micro USB straight out of the box, but there was no mention of this on the updated support page. There also does not appear to be any change to the shape of the gamepad.
