EA has officially announced the release date of Star Wars: Battlefront. The long-awaited sequel will be hitting store shelves for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC in North America on November 17th, 2015 – just two weeks past the 10 year anniversary of Star Wars: Battlefront II and one month before the release of Star Wars: Episode VII. The UK release date is November 20, 2015.
Earlier this week Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg confirmed that Xbox One owners will have the opportunity to play the game a week early through EA Access.
EA also announced that the first chunk of DLC (which will be free) will be releasing on December 8th (December 1st if you preorder the game) that takes place shortly after the end of Episode VI that ties directly into the story of Episode VII. It has also been confirmed that Star Wars: Battlefront will not have space battles, prequel era locations, characters or equipment, but we will be able to fly X-Wings, TIE Fighters and the Millennium Falcon and play as Darth Vader and Boba Fett.
