DirecTV Genie DVR customers using the Xbox One’s HDMI-in port for passthrough with their satellite receiver have been experiencing issues when attempting to rewind live or recorded TV. While the programming manages to revert back to previous segments, the onscreen image remains still as if it were paused. This makes it hard to track progress when looking to rewind to a previous scene or segment of a program on DirecTV’s flagship DVR.
We reached out to Microsoft about this issue and a company spokesperson advised us that they were aware of the issue and planning to address it in future updates. While the company didn’t give an exact date of when a fix would be available, it did acknowledge the problem and confirm that a resolution was in the works.
