Call of Duty: Ghosts will allow cross-gen profile transfers

Call of Duty: Ghosts will allow for players to transfer their profile, including accomplishments prestige across console generations. This was revealed today at the multiplayer event taking place in Los Angeles.

The transfer process will only take place within console families, so you won’t be able to transfer from Xbox 360 to PS4 or the other way around.

Why would I want to transfer my prestige?

I want to work from the ground up on a new game with new maps and new guns and new features.

Now all these first day prestige masters will be in lobbies with a bunch of no prestige, level one guys.

Its talking about having your Ghosts Profile go with you to the Xbox One from the 360.

“Call of Duty: Ghosts will allow for players to transfer their profile, including accomplishments prestige across console generations.”

Maybe I read “accomplishments prestige” incorrectly.

Seems like an Xbox thing. I play COD on Wii U to avoid the children that inhabit 70% of Xbox’s userbase.

Everytime you post you just prove how stupid you are.

It’s easy to tell you play Xbox.

oh Arthur your just so smart
i thinks its time we meet on the box and just do a little chitchat

Why you would want to is simple. Somebody who bought an Xbox 360/PS3 version of the game might like to be able to bring over their stats, ranking, and unlockables to the Xbox One/PS4 version of the game. The bigger question, is why would you need to? I can’t see many people buying Ghosts on a last gen system, getting a new console, and then wanting to pay for the same game again.

Silly me not thinking it through. For some reason, I thought he meant transfered from MW3.

That’s the second time I’ve made this mistake. I keep forgetting that most people will buy on current gen first then transfer to next gen.

        • greengecko007

I guess it’s a nice feature? You’ll never catch me buying two versions of the same game though. Hard to imagine other people do this.

          • bizzy gie

Seriously. That’s why I keep making that mistake. Buying the same game twice is the last thing that occurs to me.

This one chick on Miiverse who buys two versions of the same game, one for Wii U, and consistently talks bad about her own console and how games run on it which is even more of a waste.
