Infinity Ward’s Mark Rubin announced that Call of Duty: Ghosts will allow players to customize how their soldiers look. Rubin revealed that there are more than 20,000 possible combinations in personalizing your soldier, including the ability to play as a female soldier.
“For Call of Duty: Ghosts multiplayer, nothing was spared. This is the the biggest overhaul of multiplayer we’ve done since the original Modern Warfare. In Ghosts you create not just a class, but a soldier.”
The Pick 10 system implemented by Treyarch in their Call of Duty games will be returning in Call of Duty: Ghosts, allowing for more perks that have ever been available in the series. 8 points are allotted for perks, with each perk assigned a number from one to five points. Players can have a maximum of 11 perks in their loadout.
In addition to the customization of players, more than 30 new guns are available, from rifles to rocket launchers. A new class called the Marksman class is available as well, which is a combination between assault and sniper rifle. Rubin mentioned wanting to capture the feel of the original M1 Garand and Karr98k rifles from Call of Duty 1 and 2. All of the scopes in the game have been modified to be dual render, so that you keep your target in sight while still maintaining peripheral vision.
