Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall will be exclusive to Xbox and PC

Titanfall-close

Respawn Entertainment’s first game is called Titanfall and its coming next spring, exclusively to the Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. This information comes from an alleged leak of Game Informer magazine’s July issue that was posted on NeoGAF.

Posted by forum member “Cartman86″ who describes Titanfall as a first-person shooter that relies heavily on Microsoft’s cloud servers. Built on Valve’s Source engine, players will pilot mechs known as Titans, which can be controlled or used as combat support. While the game is being developed for PC and Xbox One by Respawn, the Xbox 360 version will reportedly be made by a different studio.

Due to its pending PC release, Titanfall isn’t exactly an Xbox exclusive, but we wouldn’t be surprised if Microsoft promotes it that way, similar to what the company did with the Left 4 Dead series. If this does turn out to be the case we could very well be looking at one of the 15 “exclusive” games that are expected to be announced during E3.

Marketing is what will sell the Xbox One and its games not the console.
